The second-ever cohort of New Haven Farms Community Health Ambassadors met last week and began their training on women’s empowerment and types of power, good and bad. One Community Health Ambassador noted, “Some could say the world is already run by women, it’s just behind the scenes.”  Another Community Health Ambassador concluded, “When we get together we are even more powerful.” We look forward to all of the collaboration and energy the Community Health Ambassadors will bring to our programs this summer and beyond!

Every winter, exemplary women Farm-Based Wellness Program graduates are invited to join the Community Health Ambassadors Program. They develop leadership skills and learn behavior change methodologies to become the next generation of community change-makers.
