Peter Solomon will be presenting on his work at the Sound School building artificial reefs for Oysters and discuss their importance in the New Haven Harbor.
Peter Solomon has taught chemistry and environmental science at the Sound School for twelve years. A New Haven resident,
he first became involved with Schooner and the Sound School as a student and counselor with the SSEA summer program as a teenager. Peter earned a bachelor’s degree in biology with a minor in environmental science from Brandeis University and later a master’s degree in education from the University of St. Joseph. Currently, Peter is developing a scientific diving program and building an artificial oyster reef with his students.
