Xochitl Garcia Assistant Program Manager

Xochitl grew up in the Fair Haven neighborhood and has a bachelor’s degree in Environmental and Urban Community Studies from the University of Connecticut.

She has worked at several New Haven non-profits over the past ten years that include Common Ground and Urban Resources Initiative. She brings the principles of community and stewardship to Gather New Haven.

Before becoming the assistant program manager for the farm-based youth program, Xochitl was the farm apprentice. She was, and still continues to, harvest vegetables, prep beds, and other farm related duties.

In her free time, Xochitl loves hiking throughout Connecticut or on the hunt to find the next best ice cream shop in the state.
