Due to COVID-19, we have modified our fundraiser event to ensure the health and safety of community members, but are excited to be offering both in-person and virtual aspects.

Event Overview

CROPTOBERFEST is a celebration of the fall harvest and community and is an opportunity to learn more about social and environmental equity and the impact of Gather New Haven’s multifaceted programs while enjoying local music and food.

CROPTOBERFEST will be held Friday, October 16th through Sunday, October 18th. There will be three in-person events. One each evening from 5-7pm at our Phoenix Press Farm at 5 James St, New Haven, CT 06513.

Each evening will feature live, local musicians, guest speakers in field related to the environment/environmental justice, farming and gardening, and/or health and wellness. Pizza, snacks, and beer are included in the ticket price as well as a complimentary event pint glass! Get information about the specifics of each evening on the event details page.

Virtual Passes

We are offering a virtual event ticket option for those who feel unsafe attending in-person or for those who may not be able to attend for any other reason but still want to participate. 

We are offering you the option between live-streaming the event in real time. (This will be raw footage that includes, the speakers, musicians, etc. but will necessarily include some air time with breaks and no formal programming). OR 

You can choose a pre-recorded ticket to watch anytime. (This version will be edit to remove dead air time and breaks with no programming, but will include all aspects of the programming).

Ticket Price and Information

You may purchase tickets to one or all three in-person events. Please note that guest capacity at the event is limited to 30 tickets per evening so get your ticket now

Single Event Ticket is $40 – this includes one evening event of your choice and an event pint glass.

Event Pass is $110 – Save money to attend all three events by purchases a combo pass including in-person access to all three events and one, pint glass.

*The first 30 ticket purchasers will receive a special edition mason jar event glass*

Virtual passes include a link to the event either live or pre-recorded, but do not include a pint glass. If you would like to purchase a pint glass in commemoration of the event, you can get one here.

Benefactor Tickets

*In order to provide more equitable access to these events, we have tried to provide the lowest ticket price possible. As such, due to COVID 19 we are operating in a time of scarcity and ask that if you feel you have the financial resources to do so please opt for the Benefactor Ticket price. The benefactor price is set at $100 for in-person event tickets and $50 for a virtual ticket event pass. The additional funds raised from the Benefactor tickets goes to support the many programs Gather New Haven has to offer.

Event Details

Each night will include a different guest speaker and a different local artist. We will also focus a different Gather New Haven programs each evening. You will have an opportunity to both learn about the programs and hear first-hand from past and current participants in the programs.

Oct. 16th – Schooner Camp and Nature Preserves, Benny Mikula (Musician)

Oct .17th – Farms, Community Gardens, and Growing Entrepreneurs, Ro Godwynn (Musician)

Oct. 18th – Community Health Ambassadors and Farm-Basses Wellness

There will be pizza from local restaurants, snacks, beer from local breweries and other refreshments.

Mask are required when not sitting. Seating will be set at 6ft apart for groups/individuals. The event is outdoors, so remember to check the weather and dress appropriately!

Raffle and Pint Glasses

You can purchase a raffle ticket for $5. It is a virtual ticket that our system tracks.

On Monday Oct 19th we will randomly draw winners of the raffle. There will be multiple prizes and winners!

Available prizes will be posted as we approach the event. You can purchase as many raffle tickets as you would like to increase your chances of winning!

Pint glasses are included in the $40 ticket price for in-person event attendees. You will receive your pint glass when you arrive at the event.

If you’d like a pint glass but aren’t purchasing an in-person ticket or if you just want to purchase additional glass, you can purchase pint glasses in our shop.


Other Logistics/Potential Questions

Parking – If you drive to the event, there will be plenty of off-street parking available just outside the farm gate. When you arrive, just walk to the wind turbine and you will find the entrance!

Tickets are electronic – you can use your confirmation message from your ticket purchase when you arrive at the event, but we will also have a record of event ticket purchasers. If you want to purchase a ticket for someone else, please make sure we are aware – there is a comment option when you purchase the ticket.

Must be over 21 to consume alcohol – ID will be checked. Other beverage options will be available.
