Gearing up for Rock to Rock 2018!

For the past 10 years, New Haven has welcomed spring with Rock to Rock, an event celebrating philanthropy, service, and the planet we live on. And once again New Haven Farms will be a part of this unique community event as the New Haven Farms Red Beet Riders ride again on April 28th, raising money for our programs that promote health and community development through urban agriculture.

How does this event work? The 10th Annual Rock to Rock Earth Day Ride is a charity bike ride that routes over a thousand riders across New Haven, starting at West Rock and ending at East Rock. Riders get to choose which participating organizations they fundraise for in the months ahead of the race. Riders also get to choose their route: the 5-mile Family Parade Route, the 12-mile route, the 20-mile route, the 40-mile route, or the 100-kilometer metric century route!

The ride itself is only part of Rock to Rock. The day is full of music, food, and community, and gives all participants a chance to appreciate the joys of living in New Haven. Rock to Rock also organizes a Day of Service, this year held on Saturday, April 7. New Haven Farms is excited to again be one of the service sites for this event and to work with all of the energy that Rock to Rock brings out of our community.

Register today at rocktorock.donordrive.com/team/redbeetriders to join New Haven Farms and start fundraising! $5000 in matching funds are now available, so every $50 raised will be matched with $10 from MFund, in honor of Rock to Rock’s 10 years of activism.

With that said, what are you waiting for? Get involved now and make Rock to Rock 2018 the most successful year yet!
